GOAN FLOK DANCES

Goa folk dances bear a tradition of thousands of years. Its famous in goa.   Women perform a number of the traditional dances. The women and men  dress like traditional for these dances.

 Dhalo
Dhalo is a popular ritual folk dance form Goa .  The dance is performed by women and serves as a prayer of protection for their households. The songs to which the dance is performed are usually sung in Konkani language or Marathi.The themes of such songs are commonly religious or social in nature. It is conducted over a period of 1 week in the month of Pousha at the onset of winter.  On the final day women dress up elaborately and draw caricatures of men.
 Fugdi
Fugdi is a Goan folk dance performed by the women in the Konkan region during Hindu religious festivals like Ganesh Chaturthi and Vrata .
Fugdi is an art form that can be traced to the primeval cultural traditions of Goa. It is performed during various religious and social occasions. Fugdi is generally performed during the month of Bhaadrapada.

Dekhni
Dekhṇi  is a semi classical Goan (Indian) dance form. The plural of dekṇi in Konkani remains the same.
One of the earliest deknnis which may be dated around 1869 is Kuxttoba in which he is called “heir to India and terror of Goa”, implying resistance to Portuguese rule.
Mussoll
Mussoll is a dance performed by Goan Catholic men and women of Chandor, Goa, India with songs associated to Hindu gods as well as Catholic saints like Mother Mary.

The goan folk dances are look very beautiful. It's shows our traditions of Goa.
